Butler Winery has been producing Indiana wines from Indiana grapes for over 35 years! We are proud to produce quality wines made from grapes grown right here in Indiana. Our family has over 50 years of wine-making experience and it is our pleasure to share our wine with the world.
Wine Tasting
We offer wine tasting at all three of our Indiana locations. We charge $5 for a flight of 8 wine samples.
We pride ourselves on producing award winning wines from Indiana grown grapes. Sitting 300 feet above the Bean Blossom Valley floor, Butler Winery grows over 7 acres of grapes in the Indiana Uplands AVA (American Viticultural Area).
An AVA is a federally delineated area producing grapes and wine that are distinctly different from the area surrounding the AVA itself. While some people think we are “in the middle of nowhere,” to us, its the perfect location to grow grapes.
Idyllic Setting
Enjoy award winning wine by the bottle or by the glass in an idyllic setting for an escape from reality. We offer both indoor and outdoor seating at all of our locations.

Vineyard
Our vineyard is located just 10 miles NE of Bloomington, Indiana; which sits within the Indiana Uplands American Viticultural Area. This region in south central Indiana produces wines of distinct character. Enjoy a glass of wine out on our patio overlooking the vineyards, take a tour of our cellar, and find out how we produce award winning wines from grapes grown right here in Indiana.
Downtown Bloomington
Our original location in downtown Bloomington has been open for over 36 years. Checkout our huge selection of home-brewing and home wine-making supplies to get started on your very own batch! Enjoy a full wine tasting experience and a glass or bottle out in our wine patio. Stop in soon to visit your friendly, neighborhood winery.
Chesterton
Our satellite tasting room in Chesterton, Indiana has been serving Butler Wine since 2008. What originally started as a booth at the European Farmer’s Market, we decided the charming small town of Chesterton was the perfect place for a tasting room. Enjoy a full wine tasting experience and a glass or bottle out in the wine garden.
